Eni Delivers Fourth Quarter Profits on Solid Revenues – Quick Facts
(RTTNews) – Italian oil and gas company Eni (E) reported on Friday that net profit attributable to shareholders for the fourth quarter was 3.82 billion euros, compared to a net loss of 797 million euros the year former.
Earnings per share amounted to 1.06 euros, compared to a loss of 0.22 euros a year ago.
Adjusted net profit was €2.11 billion or €0.58 per share, compared to €50 million or €0.01 a year ago.
Adjusted operating profit jumped 681% year on year to 3.81 billion euros.
Total revenues climbed to 27.08 billion euros from 11.94 billion euros last year. Revenue from operations amounted to 26.76 billion euros, compared to 11.63 billion euros a year ago.
Hydrocarbon production increased slightly by 1% to 1,737,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day or kboe/d against 1,713 kboe/d last year.
In fiscal year 2021, adjusted net income stood at €4.7 billion, the highest since 2012, driven by better operating performance, better results from investments and a remarkable recovery in the scenario upstream.
In addition, the company said its financial outlook, business outlook, and key short-, medium-, and long-term industry and profitability targets will be disclosed at the capital markets day scheduled for March 18.
