FRP promotes five to director of corporate finance and debt advisory

Business consultancy firm FRP has appointed five new directors, part of a wider promotion round of 26 people across the UK.

The trio of James Cooper, Matt Field and Ryan Symonds have been promoted to directors of the firm’s Corporate Finance team, while Matt Whitchurch and Stuart Sweeney have been named directors of the debt advisory and restructuring practice.

James Cooper joined FRP in 2020 and is based in the Norwich office. He has specialized in corporate finance since 2012, providing a range of services including M&A advisory, valuations and capital raising for companies and business owners at all stages of the development cycle. transaction life.

Matt Field has extensive experience in providing corporate, personal and transactional tax advice to owner-managed businesses on a wide range of matters including MBOs, business divestitures, private equity investments and trusts employee share ownership. His other areas of expertise include family investment companies, employee profit sharing plans and group reorganizations, including spin-offs.

ryan symmonds joined FRP in 2020 and provides specialist advice on a wide range of corporate finance matters, including business divestitures, acquisitions, private equity investments, management buyouts and strategic options reviews . Symonds has a particular knowledge of private equity structures.

Matt Whitchurch is a qualified accountant with many years of experience in restructuring and transaction services assignments in a wide range of industries. Whitchurch, who has been with FRP since 2018, has experience conducting independent business reviews, short-term cash flow reviews, options reviews, M&A engagements and in the management of formal appointments in the event of insolvency.

Stuart Sweeney joined FRP this year and is based in the firm’s offices in London West End. Before joining FRP, he was associate director of a specialist consulting firm and held various positions in two major banks. Having worked in the industry since 2012, Sweeney has extensive experience in the field, with a focus on the leveraged finance segment.
