Kuber Rai joins Baker Tilly’s Corporate Finance practice

On the heels of the installation of a new advisory leader, Baker Tilly has strengthened its Corporate Finance practice with Kuber Rai, a veteran of the investment and transaction scene.

Kuber Rai is an international banker and investment professional with 25 years of Big Four experience (in EY’s transaction advisory practice, early in Rai’s career), institutions banks (HSBC, ICICI Bank in India and First Abu Dhabi Bank) and in investment houses (among others at GII Capital in Dubai, where he was the financial director).

His experience includes working on mergers and acquisitions, including transaction origination and planning, financial due diligence, tax advice and transaction support; overseeing millions of private equity / family office assets under management; and spearheading the creation of new banking entities in multiple jurisdictions, including Libya, Singapore, India, Qatar and the UK (at First Abu Dhabi Bank).

Rai also has extensive consulting experience, having led several digitization, process re-engineering, performance management, merger-integration and change management initiatives across various geographies. Its customers included American Express, Coca Cola, McDonalds, Hilton, Mitsui and Toshiba.

Appointed Senior Partner, Rai now leads Baker Tilly’s Transactions practice across the Middle East. He is based in the company’s Dubai office.
