Noble & Co appoints heads of corporate finance and sustainability

Scottish investment bank Noble & Co has appointed two senior executives as it prepares to help more businesses navigate an increasingly complex and regulatory environment.

The Edinburgh-based company has hired Susi Crawford as head of corporate finance and Kal Sangha as head of sustainable finance.

Both appointments increase the company’s ability to source potential deals and provide strategic consulting services.

Sangha is a newly created role, reflecting growing demand from public and private sectors, investors and consumers to align financing and business models with sustainable solutions.

Crawford adds financial markets experience to the Noble team, who sees an opportunity to support more clients looking to raise funds through these channels.

His role is focused on delivery and innovation, leading the team responsible for executing transactions on behalf of clients and working with sector leaders to develop new investment opportunities for clients.

Crawford is a finance and projects lawyer and comes from Goldman Sachs, having worked with Deutsche Bank and Clifford Chance in London and Dubai.

She has expertise in debt and equity financial instruments, as well as in the management of large-scale financings in the field of energy and infrastructure.

Crawford has also worked with a number of development banks around the world, including the Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank, International Finance Corporation, and World Bank.

Sangha comes from RSM, where he led the firm’s UK mergers and acquisitions tax practice and was a member of its tax leadership group. Previously, he was a director at KPMG, spending 14 years leading client relationships, providing tax and financial support.

Angus Macpherson, Managing Director of Noble & Co, said: “We are a small team – by design – but a team with extensive expertise and insight, which has been greatly enhanced by these two appointments.

“I see an opportunity to grow and grow our financial markets offering, here domestically and internationally – with Susi and Kal joining the team this month, we have the capacity and ability to do just that. .”

Crawford said: “Having spent the better part of 20 years working in London and the Middle East, the opportunity to return home to Scotland and join Noble & Co has been a win-win situation for me.

“The team here is hands-on and entrepreneurial in the way we support our clients and create business opportunities and I am impressed with our ability to be nimble and responsive to our clients’ ever-changing needs in today’s dynamic regulatory and financial climate. .”

Sangha added, “More and more investment decisions and corporate goals are focused on protecting the environment and increasing positive social impact.

“We will continue to partner with our clients at every stage of their investment lifecycle and develop innovative and personalized financing solutions to help them achieve their sustainability goals.”
