Roland Glasfors appointed vice president of communications and investor relations at Betsson

Roland Glasfors has been appointed vice president of Betsson AB responsible for communications, sustainability and investor relations.

Glasfors will be part of the Betsson Group management and will report to CEO Pontus Lindwall. He will take office on May 2, 2022.

“Roland’s extensive experience in capital markets and his work in investor relations will be a great asset to us,” said Lindwall, CEO and Chairman of Betsson AB. “His experience in the gaming industry is yet another advantage. With Roland on board, we can continue to refine our communications and accelerate the pace of our sustainability work.

Glasfors has a background in IR and strategy at game development group NetEnt and at payment services provider Trustly, where he most recently served as Head of Investor Relations.

He also has several years of experience selling institutional shares, both in Sweden and internationally.

Glasfors commented: “I’m really looking forward to being part of the Betsson team. The company has long been a pioneer in driving the digitization of the gaming industry in Northern Europe. Betsson’s recent investments and acquisitions make this an exciting time for the company with growth opportunities in several new markets around the world.

“The group has also made many efforts in recent years to integrate sustainability into its strategy and thus create favorable conditions to guarantee a sustainable and responsible business model for fair and competitive gaming markets.

The Stockholm-listed group published its financial results for 2021 last month, posting record sales despite a “difficult fourth quarter”.
