Continental Promotes Anna Fischer to Head of Investor Relations
Continental has appointed Anna Fischer as head of investor relations, effective April 1.
Fischer, the German automaker’s current deputy head of IR, will succeed Bernard Wang, who is stepping down for personal reasons, according to a company statement.
Fischer first joined Continental in 2004 and has held various finance positions in accounting, treasury and controlling. She assumed her current role in 2019.
In the press release, Katja Dürrfeld, chief financial officer of Continental, pays tribute to the outgoing head of IR. “Bernard Wang guided the transformation of our business in an extremely challenging economic environment and superbly represented Continental in dialogue with investors and analysts,” she said.
“For that, we owe him our most sincere thanks. We will be sorry to see him go. On behalf of the management board, I wish Bernard the best for the future, both in his personal and professional life.
Warm welcome
Dürrfeld also welcomes Fischer to her new role: “At the same time, we are delighted that Anna Fischer brings us a proven finance manager to lead investor relations.
“She is extremely well connected within the company through her roles in various areas and knows the company inside out. I am therefore convinced that it will continue our dialogue of trust with investors and analysts without any problem and will inject new momentum.
The company must publish its preliminary results for the year 2021.
