Corporate finance expert is hired by the UKSE

A corporate finance expert has been appointed by the UKSE as regional governor for South Yorkshire, the Humber region, the Black Nation and Stoke-on-Trent.

Newton has also developed skills in various business and industrial areas, such as manufacturing, technology and logistics.

Pete Newton is skilled in many areas including chief counsel, fundraising and due diligence. He came from accountancy and business consultancy firm Hart Shaw in Sheffield.

Pete Newton said: “UKSE has a long-standing reputation for helping businesses achieve their expansion goals through funding, access to advice and the provision of high quality office space, while positively impacting the local economy and job market through Job Creation.

Steve Lyon, Head of Spaces at UKSE, continued: “We are delighted to welcome Pete to the team. I look forward to working with him as he brings a strong skill set and extensive experience supporting brave startups.

“Having worked with UKSE on a number of fundraising projects in my previous role, I could relate to the organisation’s emphasis on putting its customers first. because of its aim to have a positive socio-economic impact, and I look forward to continuing this work as a regional government, connecting with current and potential investors as well as the local business community.

Although we have faced many obstacles over the past few years, there has been a recent increase in applications for equity financing and mortgages as companies aim to invest in state-of-the-art equipment, hire new employees and expand into new markets.

“There are several deals in the pipeline which should result in job creation in and around Yorkshire in the months to come. Likewise, we will continue to help people take advantage of the options available. Hiring Pete will only increase our efficiency.
