New corporate finance consultancy launched during Auckland’s lockdown
A new company providing independent business finance services has been launched in Auckland. Tiaki Capital brings together a team with extensive expertise in mergers and acquisitions, business growth, private financing and debt advisory. Tiaki Capital is focused on partnering with business owners to execute private business transactions between $10 million and $100 million. In addition to transactional capacity, the directors of Tiaki Capital have extensive experience in starting, investing and owning businesses. Leaders have experience working with Tier 1 investment banks and Big 4 firms, and have over 20 years of transaction advisory experience, with a proven track record in facilitating investments and executing transactions successful.
Kenneth Leong has over 20 years of experience in corporate finance and international trade. He sits on the boards of numerous private companies, including MEO, OmniTech and Skills Update. He was Chairman of the ASEAN Business Council in New Zealand from 2017 to 2021 and is currently a member of the Honorable Damien O’Connor’s Trade for All Ministerial Advisory Group. He was inducted by KEA as a World Class New Zealander in 2015. He has been a trustee of the Auckland Foundation since 2016.
Pauras Rege is a Chartered Accountant, with over 10 years of experience, he started his career at PwC, then joined ASB Bank and Colliers International. Most recently, Pauras was Director of the Enterprise Division at ABC Business Sales, where he successfully executed several transactions, completed partial divestments and provided debt advisory services. Pauras is Vice-Chair of the Emerging Leaders Committee of Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand (CA ANZ).
Graeme Fraser is an experienced senior executive with experience as business owner, CEO, CCO, governance and franchise management in several large organizations over the past 40 years. He has ongoing involvement with the REA, REINZ, DIA and CRF and maintains strong relationships across the industry and with regulators.
Tiaki Capital operates a business brokerage arm, Kauri Business Sales, serving the SME market.
