Performance Food Group Company Announces Finance Department Promotions | Company
RICHMOND, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–July 5, 2022–
Performance Food Group Company (PFG) (NYSE: PFGC) has announced promotions for four senior executives in the company’s finance department. The following partners were promoted from Vice President to Senior Vice President effective immediately: Jeff Fender, Senior Vice President and Treasurer; George Hearn, senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), Performance Foodservice; Liz Mountjoy, Senior Vice President, Strategy and Mergers & Acquisitions; and Chris Vlahcevic , Senior Vice President, Finance and Chief Accounting Officer (CAO).
Along with the promotions, Mr. Fender and Mr. Hearn will swap roles. Mr. Fender will now serve as Treasurer of PFG and Mr. Hearn will serve as Chief Financial Officer of Performance Foodservice.

- Chris Vlahcevic is now Senior Vice President, Finance & CAO. Ms. Vlahcevic joined PFG in 2015 as Vice President, Finance and CAO. She is responsible for external reporting, corporate tax, master data management and financial systems. She also leads the quality of acquisition results and the coordination of due diligence. Prior to joining PFG, she served as Chief Financial Officer for Comfort Zone Camp and also served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Controller for LandAmerica Financial Group. Ms. Vlahcevic holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Virginia.
- Jeff Fender is now first vice-president and treasurer. Mr. Fender joined PFG in 2002 as Treasurer and soon rose to Corporate Vice President. He has been Chief Financial Officer of Performance Foodservice since 2019, working as a business partner to ensure alignment, accelerate growth and drive financial results. During his time at PFG, Mr. Fender was instrumental in guiding the company through the transition from public to private and back to public markets. Prior to PFG, he held senior positions in finance, tax and accounting at Capital One, Circuit City and PwC. Mr. Fender holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Virginia and a Masters in Taxation from Virginia Commonwealth University.
- Liz Montjoy is now Senior Vice President, Strategy and Mergers & Acquisition. Ms. Mountjoy joined PFG in 2019 as Vice President in this area. She works within PFG to assess and plan growth opportunities and related mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining PFG, she served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development for Altria, as well as General Manager of the company’s digital and marketing services organization. She also spent 10 years in consulting, including at PwC, where she focused on supporting clients through critical business transformations. Ms. Mountjoy received her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia and her Masters of Business Administration from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
- Georges Hearn is now Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Performance Foodservice. Mr. Hearn has been vice president and treasurer of PFG since joining the company in 2019, where he led treasury, shared services and corporate financial planning and analysis, and previously led tax companies. He began his career at General Electric where he served as a divisional CFO and key architect in a spin-off company, later becoming that company’s CFO. Mr. Hearn holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the State University of New York-Albany and a master’s degree in business administration from the Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University.
