The Finance Commissioner’s Department of Finance has strictly ordered that controlling officers who fail to reconcile their accounts for the year 2022-23 be deemed to have reconciled their accounts to the figures in their books and that these be treated as final.
The Finance Department of the Commissioner of Finance has instructed the Administrative Secretaries to instruct the Controlling Officers under their administrative control to delegate the reconciliation parties to the office of the Accountant General (A&E) for the advance reconciliation of revenue and expenditure for the year 2022-23 according to the fixed schedule, according to the Daily Excelsior.
