Well-Known Trader Joins UNW’s Corporate Finance Team | North East Business News
Accounting and business advisory firm UNW has appointed a former Initiated North East Dealmaker of the Year as Corporate Finance Partner.
Former PwC dealmaker Paul Mankin will assume the role where he will oversee the firm’s corporate finance advisory team.
Mankin brings more than three decades of experience to the role, which will involve him chairing UNW’s corporate finance activities, helping to guide and build the team, and strengthening its market position.
He left his role as corporate finance partner for the North East and Yorkshire at PwC in 2020 after 38 years with the firm, during which time he advised on a number of transactions including the sale of ‘Aesica Pharmaceuticals to Consort Medical and the sale of Anson Limited to National. Mankin has a reputation for advising clients on a range of matters including acquisitions and divestitures, fundraising, valuations and strategic reviews.
Over the past two years, the UNW team has completed more than a dozen M&A advisory assignments in various industries, in addition to its work on government grants and divestitures in the dental industry.
